What classes do you offer?

We offer classes for Muay Thai / Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi & No-Gi), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Wrestling, & Judo.

We also offer private lessons for any of the arts listed above and personal training for fitness. Often times, some people feel too intimidated to try out a group class or aren’t used to a group class setting, so they will schedule a private lesson to get a feel for the type of training in our regular scheduled classes.

Do I need prior martial arts experience before joining?

No! Our curriculum through the Roufusport system is designed for the true beginner. No prior experience in any martial art is required. You will be surprised by the variety of experience levels in a typical class at Roufusport Appleton!

Do you offer a free trial period?

Yes! We offer a 3-Day Free Trial to all new members. What this means is you can come in and try out 3 full days of classes for free before deciding if you would like to sign-up.

What are your prices for membership?

You can call/text us at 920-460-9008 to discuss our Membership options!

How do I become a student?

You can become a student by stopping by in person at the gym!

If you plan on stopping by in person to sign up, please call ahead to schedule enough time for signing up and for any questions you may have. You can Call/Text us at 920-460-9008 or email us at roufusportappleton@gmail.com.

Do I need any equipment to start?

No! We will provide gloves for your first couple of weeks for kickboxing classes.

For Jiu Jitsu classes, you may train without a Gi even during Gi classes until you are able to order one. We can help you in ordering a Gi once you’re ready.

Mouth pieces are not required, but some like to wear them during Jiu Jitsu class and of course if you ever plan to spar, you will need one. Shin Guards are not required until you reach a more advanced level in Kickboxing class. We will have mouth guards available to buy and order, wearing a mouth piece for Jiu Jitsu rolling can’t hurt, but is not required.

Please wear clean, comfortable athletic clothing for ALL classes.

What can I expect at a typical class?

We start with a warm-up that could be anywhere between 5 – 10 minutes long, which is then followed by techniques being taught for that day and then drilling of the techniques with a partner or yourself depending on the curriculum for that day.

For Jiu Jitsu classes, they all will typically end with live rolling at the end after techniques. Live rolling is optional, it is not required but is encouraged.
